Tastes like biting into a freshly picked, tropical-tasting apple such as Devonshire Buckland, with a lively, refreshing, natural fizz and a cidery nose.
Named Fieldfare because winter only got cold enough to begin harvesting apples for our keeved cider once the orchards were inundated with Fieldfares, who make the risky flight here from Scandinavia to feast on apples and berries. The only apples Fieldfares leave untouched are those with very high tannin and acid - exactly the apples we need to pick to balance the sweetness that we retain in our keeved ciders.
IMPORTANT - Store chilled (below 15C)! Made to be opened now, not stored (unless in wine cellar.)

food pairing suggestions - This cider is made to drink on its own but pairs well with spicy or salty foods (eg sushi, blue cheese -particularly Beenleigh Blue, thai), as well as sharp fruit-based puddings (particularly sharp fruits that are balanced by the natural sweetness of the cider, such as rhubarb & gooseberry), and apple or berry crepes.
